Free Being You – What Do I Mean?

(Text version below audio player)

When I was young I realized that people didn’t focus on or share the most important and magical aspects of being alive. I spent many years feeling isolated and weird because we don’t even have language for the great mysteries and miracles of being alive in a human body that brought me the greatest joy – so my biggest realizations, transcendent moments, and mystical experiences couldn’t be shared. Yet I felt sure others were having their own versions of such occurrences.

Our myths, fairytales, and favorite movies are full of superheroes and powerful beings that embody non-ordinary ways of knowing and use their mysterious powers to do amazing things. We love these characters because deep down we yearn to access and utilize our own non-ordinary powers and wisdom. We’re all born with multiple ways of perceiving, yet we learn to marginalize awe-inspiring and brilliantly creative aspects of our awareness and potential – in order to seem normal. So over time, we become alienated from many valuable and powerful natural abilities.

I’ve spent my whole life learning how to support, celebrate, and give language to states of awareness or presence that are non-linear yet extremely accurate, dependable, and useful, and then integrate these other ways of knowing into our logical, linear, thinking process – and into everyday life.

An open heart is strong, resilient, and powerful – it’s highly sensitive – not vulnerable, as we fear it would be. Intuition bridges worlds – rather than taking us away from ‘this’ world. Our human nervous system is like thousands of energy receptors that can activate healing in our selves and others. Our curiosity is a doorway to wisdom, wonder, creativity, and connection. But we often stop ourselves from venturing into, or trusting these normal human powers.

What keeps us from living as our fully authentic selves? Our inner critic (the programs our brain runs to hold us tightly inside the norms of our culture) guards the borders between worlds, and scares us away from crossing into territory that’s outside the framework of mainstream logic or norms. The funny thing is – when we do manage to graduate into being our true selves in the world, everyone around us loves it; we’re more available to understand, empathize, and connect with others – we’re at ease and life becomes easier because we’re not drained and on edge from criticizing and arguing with ourselves all the time.

It takes a lot of energy to stifle your true nature, and once you know how to flow between your innate multiple levels of perception, you can freely use your awareness to co-create with each present moment. You become a dynamic healer, leader, and peacekeeper, a creative force for good wherever you are. And life feels easier, more interesting, and more fun.

The world needs you to step into your unique superpowers – now! Your life is a gift – open the present. How can I help you bring your whole self to Life? It would be such an honor to support you living Free Being You.
